Amid the pandemic, KIND’s Voices That Matter Most project partnered with Imagination Stage, which taught clients virtually about crafting stories using stop motion animation. Participants learned about storyboarding and creating visuals and characters through drawing, cut-outs, and clay to express and share their stories. Clients created short videos about aspects of their stories, including narratives about family reunification and LGBTQ issues.
Voices participant Celeste created this video about her story:
I graduated high school with honors and currently I am on my second year of college. I am planning to have it all figured out for my future as she [my mom] had it all figured out for me here.
