KIND thanks and gives credit to the following photographers with whom we have had the pleasure of working with to tell the stories of so many children at the U.S./Mexico border who are awaiting their chance at protection.  We would also like to thank the children who worked with these photographers and agreed to have their pictures and stories told. Their strength and resilience are inspiring.

Lori Barra, 2019

We would like to thank Lori Barra for a number of black and white photos, which she donated to KIND from a trip she took to Mexico. Lori is a skilled photographer who travelled to Mexico in 2019 to document the conditions Central American refugee children and families were forced to live in while they awaited their chance to apply for asylum in the U.S.  A number of photos used on KIND’s website and social media were taken by (C)Lori Barra, 2019 and are for KIND’s use only.

Brett Gundlock, 2019

KIND worked with photographer Brett Gundlock in 2019 & 2022 to capture a number of photos of Central American children living in Mexican shelters as they awaited their chance to apply for protection in the U.S.   Thank you to Brett for the powerful photos which show the reality of what children were facing under the Trump Administration’s harmful Migration Protection Protocols (MPP).  A number of photos used on KIND’s website and social media were taken by (C)Brett Gundlock, 2019 and are for KIND’s use only.

Leandro Viana, 2015

KIND worked Brazilian documentary photographer Leandro Viana to capture powerful black and while images of what it is like for children facing immigration court alone.  Leandro donated his talent and time to show a child facing court alone in New York City. A number of photos used on KIND’s website and social media were taken by (C)Leandro Viana, 2019 and are for KIND’s use only.
