March 2, 2021

Washington, DC – On Tuesday, March 2, at 11 a.m. Kids in Need of Defense experts will hold a media telebriefing to detail the next steps the Biden Administration should take to protect children and families arriving at the border.

Set against the backdrop of headlines shaped by recent news of children arriving at the southern border and being placed in ORR facilities, this call will provide specific recommendations about the best ways to protect the legal rights and ensure the well-being of unaccompanied children arriving in the United States. • Best practices to ensure children are processed safely and swiftly
  • How best to release children to willing sponsors
  • Information about new child arrivals at the U.S.-Mexico border
