Press Telebriefing: The First Year of Biden Administration’s Family Reunification Task Force

Washington, DC – On Thursday, January 27, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, Kids in Need of Defense experts will hold a media telebriefing to discuss the first year of the Biden Administration’s family reunification taskforce.

February 2 is the first anniversary of the formation of President Biden’s Family Reunification Task Force, created to reunite parents seeking asylum who were forcibly separated from their children during the Trump Administration. Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) has been deeply engaged in reuniting families, supporting efforts both in Central America and in the United States. KIND will hold a press call to discuss progress made to reunify families and work still to be done to repair the deep harm caused by family separation and to end its use.
