Thank you so much to Wilmer Valderrama for hosting an incredible event for KIND in Los Angeles in August 2018! No child should face immigration court without an attorney by their side and this event helped raise critical awareness for these immigrant and refugee children who have fled their homes in search of safety.
Alejandra, a KIND client, shared her powerful story and the difference it has made to have an attorney by her side saying,” The journey was not easy, but it has been amazing to get to know new people, myself, and the ability I did not know I have to overcome my fears and challenges.” Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and KIND board member Sonia Nazario and KIND President Wendy Young also spoke at the event.
