KIND deplores the chemical attack in Idlib Province, Syria, in which more than 70 civilians were killed, including 20 children.
“This violence is appalling in itself, but when children are targeted, suffocating to death while they slept, words cannot begin to describe this horrific act,” said KIND President Wendy Young. “To attack the most vulnerable in such a brutal and ghastly way strikes at the very core of our humanity. As an international community, child protection must be a priority. There is no other way forward.”
