Pushing back on a USCIS proposal to restrict the appeals process. KIND joined forces with six other nonprofits to file a detailed critique of a USCIS proposal to sharply curtail an applicant’s rights and options when challenging a denial of immigration benefits. USCIS published the proposal as a revision to a standard form and instructions, attracting little attention despite its substantive content and potentially damaging impact.
