Buck Dixon from Troutman Sanders in Atlanta recently won KIND Atlanta’s first asylum grant for Marcos*, a 14 year old boy from Guatemala who fled his home because of constant threats to join the gang–when Marcos refused he was threatened with his life. Marcos asylum grant not only means he can live safely in the U.S. but it is also a pivotal win for Atlanta, paving the way for more children in need of protection.
