- Provide information for returning child on their rights and what to expect upon return
- Communicate and coordinate with parents and/or receiving family members, including in most languages spoken in Guatemala
- Assist with transportation for families to meet children upon return
- Provide continuity of information and services such as medical care and school records
- Once a child is home, we offer support such as:
- School or training for returning child and siblings
- Counseling for child and family to help with attachment and adjustment
- Access to additional community resources for training, education, and support
- Gender-sensitive support, especially for children who have experienced violence
- Group activities to bring together returned migrant children, siblings, and parents
- Microbusiness opportunities for family members
- Services for one year in country of origin
