Last month, my social services team colleagues and I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the Lakers Youth Foundation for a special event that brought joy and excitement to our community.
Thanks to a generous donation of basketball tickets, we were able to take 11 clients to a thrilling Los Angeles Lakers game. It was an unforgettable experience for our clients. They were cheering on their favorite players, bonding with one another, and creating moments that will last a lifetime. We are so lucky to be able to provide first-time experiences for many of our clients. It is beautiful to witness them taking in new experiences and just having fun.
One 18-year-old client felt so excited as soon as they walked into the Crypto Arena that they immediately asked staff to take photos of them in the venue, to share with their friends and family. It was a surreal experience to see clients attending their first live professional basketball game, and it was clear that the special opportunity to see a live NBA game in the United States impacted them.
It was an amazing day, and we couldn’t have pulled this off without teamwork and dedication. We’re grateful for the chance to create such a special moment for our clients and look forward to more experiences like this in the future.
