“KIND is grateful to Senator Dianne Feinstein and the 31 co-sponsors who have introduced a bill to end the disgraceful practice of family separation. The Keep Families Together Act will limit the government from taking children from their parents at the U.S. border, a policy that causes immeasurable and life-long damage to children and their families.
Senator Feinstein has been a long-time leader in the protection of unaccompanied children. Her work on behalf of these uniquely vulnerable children has ensured a safe future for thousands of children in need and in danger. The Keep Families Together Act follows in this legacy and will put an end to the widespread and completely unnecessarily suffering this shameful policy is imposing on so many.”
